In this talk, I will discuss continuous time Bayesian networks (CTBNs)
as representation of structured continuous-time (or asynchronous)
multi-variate processes.  I will review some of the basics for CTBNs and
why we prefer them over dynamic Bayesian networks or other structured
process representations.  I will conclude by demonstrating our recent
work in applying them to computer network traffic modeling and social
network dynamics.
