Abstract:
It has recently been shown that the time it takes to successfully 
transmit a file/packet over a random channel can be heavy-tailed
even when the file/packet size distributions and channel availability
periods are light-tailed.  We present preliminary results to 
demonstrate the effect of fragmentation on the transfer time.
