We consider load balancing in distirubted antenna systems, where a single digital unit (DU) controls a number of radio units (RUs) in a centralized manner. Conventional load balancing and cell breathing with power control may not be effective for load balancing in cellular-structured wireless systems. In this paper, we consider the load balancing by reducing the peak-to-average loading ratio (PALR) of each RU, where the resource of adjacent RUs can be shared for signal transmission in the same data frame. User termainals with a single transceiver can receive signal from multiple RUs in the same data frame by making the DU disjointly allocate the resource of RUs in cooperation. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can significantly reduce the PALR.
