Even a very small change in a memoryless network can have a significant impact on the network capacity.  In this talk, we explore the limit of that phenomenon.  Specifically, we seek to understand whether modifying a memoryless network through the addition of a single bit of communication -- not a capacity-1 link, but a single bit over all time -- can change the network capacity.
